2015 Third Quarter Financial Report
Recreation Fund Revenues
Program fees in the Recreation Fund are up due to the timing of registration, an increase in participation and the deferral of
revenue for preschool. During the 2014 audit, it was determined that additional revenue needed to be deferred for Preschool.
Staff made this change and now revenue in Early Childhood is up significantly from last year. Real estate taxes were budgeted
at lower levels in 2015 and account for the decrease in taxes received. Building rental income is up 7.7% from last year. The
following programs and areas have experienced a decrease in participation, Summer Softball–Adult, 5K, and Performing Arts.
Increases in participation include Youth Soccer–Outdoors, Lombard Leapers, Extended Care, Teen Camp, and Lil' Rascals.
