We are offering a new opportunity for you to continue playing basketball into the spring and summer. The Chicago Bulls/ Sox Training Academy offers a league for teams in the surrounding area, and the Lombard Park District will be entering a team this season! Each team will practice at least 90 minutes per week at Pleasant Lane School in Lombard starting in mid-April. Please note this is a travel league and there are no playing time guarantees. Teams will have between 8-12 players, so there is a possibility that some players may be cut. Experienced coaches are needed, so please contact Nathan at (630) 620-7322 if you are interested in coaching a team. The primary goal is to create an opportunity for fundamental skills development in a positive, supportive, friendly, safe and most importantly, fun environment. Coaches will determine all practice times. The Park District reserves the right to combine age levels if necessary. The program begins with 3 weeks of instruction in a practice setting followed by 3 weeks of games. Games are one hour and can be played at 5:30 or 6:30 pm regardless of which time slot participants registerd for. All participants will receive a T-shirt and hat prior to the start of games and there will be a Family Fun Night at the end of the season for all participants. Fridays will be used for rainouts. The program is taught by Park District Staff, but parents are invited to help with instruction, so volunteer today by calling (630) 620-7322.
