BEGINNING CALLIGRAPHY
(Ages 16 +)
Haven't you always wanted to learn this beautiful writing? Your instructor has
20 years of experience teaching calligraphy and has designed a basic course
using dip pen and ink. Students will learn the classic 15th Century Italic alphabet,
together with design application, photocopy techniques, and special projects
like greeting cards and poems. Supplies can be purchased from the instructor on
the first night of class for $12.

INTERMEDIATE CALLIGRAPHY I & II
(Ages 16 +)
Intermediate Calligraphy I adds three additional alphabets, Unical, Gothic and
Pointed Brush. There is further exploration of design possibilities, together
with more complex projects. Supplies can be purchased from instructor for $4.
Intermediate Calligraphy II will explore colored pencil, watercolor and gouache,
as well as background techniques and a versal style alphabet. Supplies can be
purchased from instructor for $5.

YOUTH DRAWING
(Ages 7-12)
The students in this class will study line, shape, contour, gestures, perspective,
composition, and use of different types of drawing materials. There will be an
emphasis on individual exploration, discovering and developing uniqueness of
interpretation and expression.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING
(Ages 7-12)
Learn the basics of watercolor painting and explore various techniques to create
your own masterpiece. In the multi-session workshop, participants will explore
watercolors in a new way. The instructor will guide you through a step-by-step
process and give you helpful hints along the way. We will try different techniques
each session to create unique pieces. Smocks will be provided.

SENIOR WATERCOLOR PAINTING
(Ages 55 +)
Learn to work with a variety of watercolor materials and techniques including
pencils, watercolor cakes and tubes, and an assortment of paper. We will
explore different techniques (i.e. wet on wet vs. wet on dry and use of salt). All
students levels are welcomed and students are encouraged to come to class with
proposed projects and questions. Basic supplies are included.

Learn to work with acrylic paint to create beautiful masterpieces! Basic acrylic
painting techniques will be introduced along with more difficult concepts as the
class progresses. Bring your own photos to work from or choose to work from
still life. All student levels welcomed and students are encouraged to come to
class with proposed projects and questions. Basic supplies are included.

COLORED PENCIL

Learn to color your drawings using colored pencils. Basic colored pencil
techniques will be introduced, including layering, color theory, and blending as
well as issues such as brands, paper choice, and subject matter will be discussed.
