Learn the answers to these questions and more as you make a lapbook, play a game, and make a craft project while you learn about different nocturnal animals -- maybe some you've never heard of! -- and the amazing things they do when the sun goes down. You'll do lots of experiments and even make a weather station to take home that can measure temperature, wind speed & direction, rainfall and more. This American Red Cross course teaches skills children should know if they find themselves alone (i.e.: answering phones, doors, etc.) Register early; space is limited. (Ages 8-10) Create your own Superhero adventure for Batman, Superman, or your favorite Superheros! As writers, directors and producers, students will work in teams to write their own storyline, design their own backgrounds and build scenes out of Lego® and other materials. Film with Lego® mini figures or bring your own figures from home. We will use graphic editing techniques and stop motion animation, add background noise and music, and show our movie at a private screening on the last day of class. Students will also receive a copy of their movie after it is complete. Refunds requests must be received three days prior to activity.
