Youth & Teen
PRIVATE TUTORING
(Ages 5-10)
One on one tutoring available for students entering Kindergarten through
Grade 5. Lauren Connell is an elementary teacher licensed in both Illinois and
Wisconsin. She has a degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in
English from Carthage College and a certification in Special Education from
the University of St. Francis. During these sessions, students will focus on
academic skills while addressing specific needs such as reading, writing, and
match competencies. Your child will review basic concepts to help them build
their foundation of academic skills as well as work on new concepts to help them
succeed in the upcoming school year. If you have any questions, please contact

PREP CLASS
(Grades 3-4)
Students entering 3rd grade and students entering 4th grade will enjoy
this class to help them prepare for the upcoming school year! We will review and
brush up on basic math facts as well as preview math skills for the upcoming year!
Kids will work on comprehension skills, reading fluency, language development,
and learn organizational and study skills to help them in the future. We will play
games, have contests, and complete some projects! Students entering 3rd grade
in the fall will meet on Tuesday's, and students entering 4th grade in the fall will

ROCK & ROLL ROBOTICS
(Ages 8-12)
Create robots that rock and robots that roll! Using the LEGO™ WeDo Robotics
System your robots will include a monkey who plays a drum to a rock & roll beat,
a lion that roars, a bird that flaps its wings to create a big wind, a sleeping giant
who will awaken on your command, and a boat that will rock on the rough seas.
This course builds knowledge of simple machines, engineering, programming,
and teamwork in an environment full of rockin' fun! Students will work in teams
of two. No refunds will be issued after the first class.

FOOD SCIENCE
(Ages 6-11)
You'll learn about nutrition and food science as you make yummy, healthy
dishes in this class. Recipes will include savory dishes, sweet dishes, snacks for
energy, and snacks you can slurp. We cannot accommodate food allergies in this
camp. Refund requests must be received three days prior to activity.

ROBOTICS ADVENTURES
(Ages 6-8)
Yes, We CAN learn about Robotics! With the LEGO™ WeDo Robotics System,
young children can build and program their own robotic creations. Designed by
the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches children about simple machines,
engineering, programming and so much more. Young imaginations soar!
