CREATE & ANIMATE WITH SCRATCH 2
(Ages 7-12)
Students will learn the fundamentals involved in creating a video game world,
using Scratch, the innovative programming language created just for kids by
MIT. In this class, students will be introduced to programming by creating and
editing sprites and game opponents. They will learn about sound and video as
they "level up" through the building of their own game. Students work in teams
and will receive a copy of the software and their game at the end of class. Refund
requests must be received three days prior to activity.

only for Computer Explorers! Learn fundamentals of computer networking
through this unique Minecraft experience that also allows you and your friends
to work in multiplayer mode as you mine, craft and build together to survive.
Working with a partner, use your skills to explore all the secrets the world has
to offer, including a mysterious castle filled with challenges. No matter whether
you are new to Minecraft or already love the program, this program is for YOU!

MOVIE MAKING 101
(Ages 8-12)
Create your own adventure for Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione! You will
create your own Harry Potter™ movie using special movie making cameras and
software. As directors and producers you will work in teams to create your
own story and script, use Lego® Harry Potter mini figures as characters, draw
your own backgrounds and film your own movie. You will use graphic editing
techniques and stop motion animation, add background noise and music, and
show your movie at a private screening on the last day of class. All students will
get a copy of their movie after class is complete.

SUMMER SWIM SOIRÉE
(Entering grades 6-9)
Check out our weekly teen nights every Thursday night at Paradise Bay. While
you're swimming and dancing the night away, don't forget about the weekly
raffles and pool games for cool prizes. These events are open to all area Middle
School age youth. Concessions are available, so bring extra money for snacks!
Parent/guardian signature is required for admission to Summer Swim Soirée.
Cash only. Bring school ID.

This is your opportunity to not only learn sign language, but to communicate
with it. This introductory course will teach basic signs and phrases like "good job"

to communicate with someone who is deaf or hard-of-hearing.

FORENSICS SCIENCE

In this class, you will look for, collect and analyze different types of evidence
from a "crime scene" to find the answer to a mystery. Evidence includes shoe
prints, fingerprints, a mystery note, unidentified stains, fibers, powders, and
