This low-impact workout combines a high-powered workout with the resistance
of the water to develop and tone your muscles. An extra benefit of water exercise

SHALLOW WATER AEROBICS

AQUA : LOW IMPACT CARDIO-STRENGTH
(Ages 15 +)
Resistance in water ranges between 4 and 42 times greater than in air,
depending on the speed of movement. Buoyancy reduces your body weight by
approximately 75%. Hydrostatic pressure and the cooling effects of the water
keeps your heart rate lower and gives added support for balance and flexibility,
all while giving you the same cardiovascular benefits of land exercise. We will
work the upper and lower body using aqua dumbbells, resistance bands, and
pool noodles and balls. This class is for all fitness levels. Join us for some Fun
in the Sun.

PROGRAMS
SWIM CAMP
(Ages 6-18)
This will be a great opportunity to improve swimming skills for both the novice
and the team swimmer. Join the Paradise Bay swim instructors and work on
stroke development, put some polish on your flip turns, or just enjoy the water.
Each swimmer will work to improve their skills at their own level. Activities will
include: conditioning, skills training, individual instruction as well as fun activities
including dive well and the water slides. Swimmers will be broken down into
small groups by age to best facilitate learning. Each swimmer should bring a
healthy snack each day for a mid-morning energy pick up.

SPRINGBOARD DIVING LESSONS
(Ages 8-15)
Join Lombard WAVES Dive Team coach Elizabeth Flint to learn the basics of
diving. This dive class will include the three-step approach, front and back dives,
and more, depending on each individual's skill level. Each diver must be able to
swim one length of the pool comfortably to participate in this class. (8 classes
and 6 classes for Sat. classes) the first week is M-F and second week is M-W.
