19 Youth Athletics AFTER SCHOOL BASKETBALL CAMP (Ages 6-11) Come out and play as we have fun learning the fundamentals of the game with unique drills, games, and contests that will keep you active and sharpen your basketball skills. This program will blend the perfect amount of organized games and fun activities that are productive, positive, and fun! The trainers are all professionally licensed, and have impressive backgrounds of coaching and playing in the UK and throughout Europe. Players will be split by age and learn about the basics, while developing as players and picking up some cool moves and tricks along the way. Instructor: Firebird Trainers Location: Glenbard East High School Code Day Date Time R/NR Fee 101120-01 M 04/10 - 05/15 6:30 - 7:30 pm $75/$85 T-BALL (Ages 4-6) Youth T-Ball is a program that introduces basic baseball rules and sportsmanship along with teaching the fundamentals of base running, hitting, and fielding. The program begins with three weeks of instruction in a practice setting followed by three weeks of games. Games are one hour and can be played at 5:30 or 6:30 pm regardless of which time slot participants registered for. All participants will receive a T-shirt and hat prior to the start of games and there will be a Family Fun Night at the end of the season for all participants on Friday, July 28. Fridays will be used for rainouts. Parents are invited to help staff with instruction, so volunteer today by calling (630) 620-7322. Please fill out a Youth Sports Info Form upon registering. Note: You will NOT receive a call from a coach. Please report to the field on the program's first day. The primary goal is to create an opportunity for fundamental skills development in a positive, supportive, friendly, safe and most importantly, fun environment for every player in each league. Coaches will determine all practice times. The Park District reserves the right to combine age levels if necessary. We are offering an opportunity for you to continue playing basketball into the spring and summer. The Chicago Bulls/Sox Training Academy offers a league for teams in the surrounding area, and the Lombard Park District will be entering teams this season! Each team will practice at least 90 minutes per week starting in early April. Teams will have between 8-15 players, so there is a possibility that some players may be cut. Please note this is a travel league and there are no playing time guarantees. Experienced coaches are needed, so please contact Nathan at (630) 620-7322 if you are interested in coaching a team. All participants MUST tryout on 03/21 at Glenn Westlake Middle School. Please register for the FREE tryout by using the codes below. The fees listed are only assessed to participants who are selected to a team.
