Skills learned include water entry, floating, blowing bubbles, kicking, bobs, gliding, face in the water, and pool safety. LEVEL 2 | Ages 5-6 Students are strongly encouraged to try skills on their own. Skills include head in the water, bobs, supported front & back crawl, supported front & back kicks, assisted front and back glides, glides with kicks, alternating arms, use of life jacket, and pool safety. LEVEL 3 | Ages 5-6 Children will learn the beginning of stroke development and complete independence from the instructor's assistance. Skills learned include further development of Level 2 skills, rhythmic breathing, turning over, retrieval of underwater objects, front and back glides, and open airway for rescue breathing. LEVEL 4 | Ages 7-8 Combine all aspects of stroke development with arm and leg movements. Children will also learn to be more comfortable in deeper water. Skills learned include treading water, front and back crawl, elementary back stroke, diving, changing directions, and review of previous level skills. LEVEL 5 | Ages 7-8 Students will work on their strength and endurance of stroke development in this level. Skills learned include competitive turns, long shallow dive, breaststroke, sidestroke, alternative breathing, and diving board safety. CONTINUED ON PAGE 14
