Tsukasa Taiko is a community arts program of Asian Improve Arts Midwest
whose mission is, through teaching and performing, to preserve, develop, and
pass on the traditional concepts of genuine Japanese art as a cultural legacy,
to instill appreciation for artistic excellence, and to utilize these concepts in
expanding and evolving the taiko (Japanese drum) art form.

DRIVER'S SAFETY PROGRAM
(Ages 55 +)
The AARP Smart Driver Course teaches valuable defensive driving strategies
and provides a refresher of the rules of the road. Since 1979, the course has
helped more than 15 million drivers learn research-based tips to adapt their
driving to compensate for physical and cognitive changes that may occur with
aging. Plus, you may qualify for a multi-year automobile discount by completing
the course. (Check with your auto insurance agent for details.) Receive a $5
refund after you present AARP card to instructor.

SIGN LANGUAGE
(Ages 13 +)
Knowing your ABC's is one thing, but did you ever wonder how to sign them?
This is your opportunity to not only learn sign language, but to communicate
with it. This introductory course will teach basic signs and phrases like "good job"
or "you're welcome." Join us as a certified deaf education instructor teaches how
to communicate with someone who is deaf or hard-of-hearing.

CHARMING CEDAR CREEK

In 1864, Cederburg, Wisconsin was the perfect place to channel the rushing
waters of Cedar Creek to build a stone mill to produce woolen goods for the
Union Army in the Civil War. The mill operated for over 100 years until 1969.
Today, Cedar Creek Settlement occupies the site with over 30 shops including
antique stores, gift shops, artists' studios, a forge, and a potter's studio. Enjoy a
relaxing, delicious lunch at the settlement's Crème & Crepe Café. Enjoy your
unique crepe entrée while you soak in the peaceful atmosphere overlooking
Cedar Creek. After lunch, enjoy a tour of the award winning Cedar Creek Winery
and taste their splendid wines. On the way home, stop and shop at the landmark
Mars Cheese Castle for some tasty cheese and sausage. No refunds after 06/09.

DICKENS HOLIDAY VILLAGE

Olde England comes alive in historic downtown Antioch, Illinois, with lifelike
figures representing scenes from the Dickens era! Join a guide for a short narrated
walking tour along streets of Antioch. You will enjoy the many boutiques, gift
shops, and eateries. Your guide will explain how the Dickens characters were
made and brought to life by local volunteers and how each character exhibit
describes life in the Dickens era. In addition, Antioch will feature Kringle's
Christmas Village, where dozens of oversized shadowboxes are filled to the brim
with quaint holiday scenes. Lunch will be at The Lodge of Antioch, located in
the midst of the holiday displays. The holiday magic continues at the Chicago
Botanic Gardens Wonderland Express exhibit! Inside the Regenstein Center
at the Gardens lies a whimsical world of miniature trains, winding over bridges,
