The Lombard Park District will be reimbursing Lombard Park District residents the di•erence between the Glen Ellyn Park District's resident and non-resident fee for a permit to their Spring Avenue Dog Park. The Spring Avenue Dog Park resident fee is $30, and the non-resident fee is $75. A second dog option is o•ered for an additional $30 for residents and an additional $50 to non-residents. To obtain a park permit, visit the Glen Ellyn Park District. Reimbursements will then be issued on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 150 dog permit registration receipts received at the Lombard Park District Administrative O‰ce, located at 227 W. Parkside Ave, Lombard, IL. Dog owners must provide printed proof that their dog has received its rabies vaccination to receive a permit for the park. Visit the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center to see the Starved Rock Lock & Dam and exhibits on construction and operation of the Illinois Waterway. At Starved Rock State Park we board the Starved Rock Trolley for a narrated, guided tour of the State Park. Learn the legend of Starved Rock and the Native American Indians who fought and died atop it. Enjoy a great lunch at historic Starved Rock Lodge. The historic Lodge, built in the 1930s, features log walls and a two sided fireplace, and overlooks the state park. There will also be time to visit the gift shop and Starved Rock Visitor's Center and its 400 gallon aquarium with fish indigenous to the Illinois River. No refunds after 09/14. Join a local guide for a short narrated walking tour strolling along the delightful streets of Antioch. Enjoy the many boutiques, gift shops and eateries. Learn how the Dickens characters were made and brought to life and how each character exhibit describes life in the Dickens era. In addition, Antioch will feature Kringle's Christmas Village, where dozens of oversized shadowboxes are filled with quaint holiday scenes. Lunch will be at The Lodge of Antioch, located in the midst of the holiday displays. The holiday magic continues at the Chicago Botanic Gardens' Wonderland Express exhibit!
