SPRING YOUTH BASKETBALL
(Grades 4-12)
Attention basketball players! We are offering an opportunity for you to continue
playing basketball into the spring and summer. The Chicago Bulls/Sox Training
Academy offers a league for teams in the surrounding area, and the Lombard
Park District will be entering teams this season! Each team will practice at least
90 minutes per week starting in early April. Teams will have between 8-15
players, so there is a possibility that some players may be cut. Please note this is
a travel league and there are no playing time guarantees. Experienced coaches
are needed, so please contact Nathan at (630) 620-7322 if you are interested in
coaching a team. All participants MUST tryout in order to be considered for
a team. Tryout dates will be in March, and will be released once coaches are
assigned. Please register for the free tryout by using the codes below.

GIRLS SOFTBALL PART-TIME TRAVEL TEAM
(Ages 10 & Under)
This is a part time travel team with 3 to 4 local tournaments to introduce the
style of travel softball to players and parents. Please submit any questions to
nkinsinger@lombardparks.com or lombardtravelsb@gmail.com. Have your
player bring appropriate indoor shoes, water, glove, bat, and helmet if you have
one. The tryout is free, but there will be a cost to join the team. All player birth
dates must be January 1, 2007 or later.

FENCING
(Ages 8+)
This class will offer students the basic understanding of attack and defense.
Students will learn different moves and combinations that will help them develop
their skill. Fencing is great exercise for all ages. All equipment is provided.

GIRLS LACROSSE LEAGUE
(Ages 5-14)
The Park District is teaming up with the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association
(IGLA) and the Glen Ellyn Park District. This program teaches the rules and
fundamentals of lacrosse, promotes active teamwork, sportsmanship, and fosters
personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. For
completing registration, Step 1 is registering through LPD, and visiting www.
iglax.org and click the registration tab to complete steps 2 & 3. Participants
must bring a paid receipt to their first practice. Required items: Goggles, stick,
mouth guard. Practices take place at Hadley Junior High School in Glen Ellyn on
Tuesdays. Games are on Sundays between the hours of 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
