Training will be provided in safety, safe play, basic care, first aid, leadership, and professionalism. A safety and first aid kit is available from the instructor for $14. This American Red Cross course teaches skills children should know if they find themselves alone (i.e.: answering phones, doors, etc.) Register early; space is limited. Both new and returning participants are welcome. Students will construct machines, like the Heavyweight Hammer and the Spin-o-Matic, and then combine them to create exciting chain reactions! Each week, the chain reactions will become more complex with the introduction of new machines. The projects will afford students the opportunity to delve into concepts such as force, gravity, velocity, types of energy, and balance. At the end of the session, students will be challenged to create the Ultimate Chain Reaction by working cooperatively to see how many machines they can incorporate. No previous experience is necessary, just a desire to learn and build. Each participants will receive an award on the last day of the session, and have the opportunity to earn Energy Belts by demonstrating their learned skills! Learn how to use RoboThink's innovative robotics pieces, motors, switches, axles and gears to build robot models of all sizes, shapes and functions. Our lesson plans are build around RoboThink proprietary kits, plans and STEM curriculum, designed by teachers and engineers. The activities are interactive, hands-on and engaging to promote learning in a fun way! This 2 hour workshop is a great introduction to RoboThink and will set the stage for our 6 week Robotics and Coding class! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mindreading, and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, you'll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided; each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age appropriate. New tricks are taught each session.
