15 lombardparks.com | (630) 620-7322 Summer camp WELCOME TO DAY CAMP! Are you looking for something fun and exciting for your child to do this summer? Make your child's summer a fun, safe and memorable one by signing them up with Lombard Park District's Summer Day Camp. Days will be filled with field trips, swimming, games, sports, art projects and new friendships. From ages 3-15, there's a camp for everyone! Sign up for a few days, a week or the whole summer! Call (630) 620-7322 for more information. PARENT MEETING: An informational parent meeting for Day Camp and Teen Camp will be held on Wednesday, May 23 at 6:00 pm at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Parents will be able to pick up their camper's t-shirt and Camp Packets with forms that must be filled out and handed in before the camper's first day of camp. Come ask questions, and get a preview of the summer. Many of our Camp Supervisors and Camp Counselors will be on hand to introduce themselves! CAMP OPTIONS Three-Day Option: Campers may attend Day Camp on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday within the same week. Campers will attend the weekly field trip on Wednesday and receive one t-shirt for the summer. Five-Day Option: Campers may attend Monday through Friday within the same week. Campers will attend the weekly field trip on Wednesdays and receive one t-shirt for the summer. Ten-Day Option: Campers may attend Monday through Friday within the same two-week session. Campers will attend the weekly field trip on Wednesdays and receive two t-shirts for the summer. Full Summer Option: Campers may attend all five sessions and every field trip during the summer. Campers will receive two t-shirts for the summer. Pick Your Day Option (PYD): PYD registration is available for all days throughout the summer. Registration is available online or at the Sunset Knoll Recreation Center and must be completed 3 business days prior to the start date. Please note that field trip days increase in price, if chosen. If a parent/guardian needs to switch days during the week, they must visit the Sunset Knoll Recreation Center to make the change. An email or phone call will not be accepted. You must bring your receipt or proof of the switch to the Camp Director or Supervisor prior to drop-off. Campers will receive 1 t-shirt for the entire summer. No registrations will be taken at Pleasant Lane School or the Lombard Community Building. Online registration is available for all options, but must be done THREE BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE CAMP. Registration will close three business days before camp. Once registration is closed, registration must be done in person at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. CAMPER PHOTO: Please submit a photo of your camper(s) when submitting emergency forms. POOL DAYS– Junior Day Camp will swim Monday, and Friday afternoons at Paradise Bay Water Park. Additional pool days may be offered during some sessions, and parents will be notified of these days in advance. Senior Day Camp will be held at the Lombard Community Building every day. Senior Camp will have the opportunity to visit the Water Park more frequently, but will go every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon guaranteed. Senior and Teen Campers should bring their swim suit to camp every day. Camp swim lessons are available on Wednesday mornings for those enrolled in our Junior, Senior and Teen Camp and are highly encouraged for those with swimming limitations. FIELD TRIPS: Junior Camp and Senior Camp will have scheduled field trips every Wednesday and all campers attending on a Wednesday must go on the field trip. CAMPERS MUST BE AT CAMP BY 9:00 AM ON FIELD TRIP DAYS. Field trip permission slips will be given at the time of registration with the Parent Manual and must be filled out before the first day of camp. Teen Camp will have field trips on Tuesday and Thursdays and all campers enrolled on those days must attend. SWIM LESSONS: Swim lessons are available to Lombard Day Camp and Teen Camp participants for $4 per lesson. Campers must be enrolled in day camp on the day of the lesson in order to qualify for these discounted swim lessons. Swim lessons will be held at Paradise Bay Water Park from 8:30 am - 9:10 am. If your camper is enrolled in Sunrise Camp and Swim Lessons, a counselor will walk them over to swim lessons. Counselors will then pick up day camp swim lesson participants at the Water Park and bring them to camp. SUNRISE AND SUNSET CAMP: Sunrise and Sunset Camp is for campers who need to be dropped off or picked up outside of the normal 9:00 am - 3:30 pm camp hours. Sunrise Camp begins as early as 7:00 am and Sunset Camp stays open as late as 6:00 pm. Both Sunrise and Sunset Camp will be held at the Lombard Community Building on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sunrise and Sunset Camp will be held at Pleasant Lane School on Tuesday/Thursdays. A bus will be transporting Senior Campers to and from camp if attending Sunrise or Sunset Camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays. WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP: Participants should bring a sack lunch, water bottle, sunscreen and a towel to camp every day. Senior and Teen campers should bring their swim suit every day and Junior campers should bring their swim suit every Monday, and Friday as well as Wednesday if the field trip is at an aquatic facility or beach. EMERGENCY FORMS: Emergency forms can be found online or at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center when registering. Emergency forms must be filled out before campers are dropped off for their first day. Campers without emergency forms on file will not be permitted into camp until those forms have been completed.
