18 /lombardparks COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (Ages 12-15) As a CIT, you will strengthen your leadership and communication skills, work with young children and enjoy summer. Interested candidates must complete the application found at lombardparks.com at least two weeks prior to the session. Staff will contact applicants about an interview prior to registration. CITs will be evaluated throughout each session on competence, communication, and cooperation. Day Camp CITs will attend and assist on field trips, pool days, and walking trips. Spots in our CIT program are limited. Registration must be completed three business days before camp begins. Swim Lessons are taught by a certified instructor and are strongly recommended for campers with swimming limitations. Campers enrolled in Sunrise Camp and Swim Lessons will be walked over to swim lessons by a counselor as long as they arrive to camp by 8:15am. After lessons are over, a counselor bring them to the Day Camp. Campers must be enrolled in day camp on the day of the swim lesson in order to qualify for discounted lessons. Registration deadline for Swim Lessons is the Saturday before the lesson. Registration must be done in person. If you are looking for fun in the sun, Summer Teen Camp is for you! Teen Camp is all about staying active, having fun and exploring new things! Teens will take daily trips to a variety of fun locations including Paradise Bay Water Park, Chicago's beaches, Navy Pier, and more! On days we don't venture off to explore, teens will get to enjoy themselves by playing billiards, watching movies, creating new art projects, and enjoying free time in the teen room at the Lombard Community Building.
