The instructor will guide you through step by step card projects. This hands-on class allows students to be creative and have fun. All student levels are welcome. A $15 supply fee is due to the instructor on the day of class. Preregistration is required no later than two business days before class begin. Since 1979, the course has helped more than 15 million drivers learn research-based tips to adapt their driving to compensate for physical and cognitive changes that may occur with aging. Plus, you may qualify for a multi-year automobile discount by completing the course. (Check with your auto insurance agent for details.) Receive a $5 refund after you present AARP card to instructor. This introductory course will teach basic signs and phrases like "good job" or "you're welcome." Join us as a certified deaf education instructor teaches how to communicate with someone who is deaf or hard-of-hearing. Participants should purchase the book "The American Sign Language Phrase Book", by Lou Fant and Barbara Bernstein Fant. Students will learn the classic 15th Century Italic alphabet, together with design application, photocopy techniques, and special projects like greeting cards and poems. Supplies can be purchased from the instructor on the first night of class for $15. Chose from common miniature plants including foliage and succulent varieties combined with a variety of surface materials (gravels, mulches, and stepping stones) to create your ideal tiny wonderland. Indoor gardens are perfect for anyone of any age. Please bring your own container (no larger than 12" diameter or shorter than 3" depth) along with your mini garden accessories or curious charms and accoutrements from Fairies to animals to dinosaurs. Class fee includes: Instruction, soil, gravel, three plants, surface materials, and after care instructions.
