/lombardparks PARKS RECREATION + The Lombard Park District provides lifeguard certification and AED CPR classes for sta and residents to train for emergencies. The Park District also displays public service announcements on banners throughout our parks to stay safe in dierent seasons. PROMOTES SAFETY AND FIRST-AID SO YOU CAN enjoy life 16 LEVEL 6 | Ages 9-14 Focus on the overall improvement of stroke development. Students are encouraged to swim laps while instructors refine their skills. Skills learned include approach and hurdle on diving board, breaststroke, butterfly, speed turn, and pull out for breaststroke, pike surface dive, throwing rescue, and review of previous level skills. LEVEL 7 | Ages 9-14 Designed for the competitive swimmer. Endurance is emphasized, as well as quick turns. Skills learned include tread water for 5 minutes, front craw for 200 yards, backstroke flip turn, front dive from the board in turn or pike position, and assist with backboard rescue.
