CALLIGRAPHY
(Ages 17+)
Haven't you always wanted to learn this beautiful writing? This is a basic course
using dip pen and ink. Students will learn the classic 15th Century Italic alphabet,
together with design application, photocopy techniques, and special projects like
greeting cards and poems. Supplies can be purchased from the instructor on the
first night of class for $15.

FIRST AID & CPR
(Ages 12+)
Learn to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac and breathing
emergencies, and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, scrapes,
sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, head, and cold. On-line portion of
class must be completed before class and is a two year certification. Course fee
includes on-line access to digital version of manual and refresher course.

GARDEN WORKSHOP
(Ages 16+)
Learn about the different varieties and plant care as you create your very own
succulent garden. Succulents are some of the most beautiful and sought after
care-free plants. By grouping them together in a dish garden, you will show off
multiple species and create a gorgeous arrangement of color. For this workshop,
bring your own pottery or arrange succulents using the 8" round container
provided. Choose from a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colors of succulents.

APPLIED THEATRE FOR ADULTS

confident during that last interview? This class brings the fun into fundamentals
of public speaking. Using fun theatre games and improvisational character
building as well as vocal and movement techniques, learn to appear poised and
confident in front of others and beat stage fright.

Visit the Christkindlmarket at Daley Plaza to shop for holiday crafts.
See and hear the magic of the holidays come alive at Navy Pier for the
annual Christmas display. See the beautiful decorations, while yuletide
music fills the air. Enjoy a late lunch/dinner at Lawry's The Prime Rib. The
restaurant, in the old McCormick Mansion, is magnificently decorated for the
holidays. Later, enjoy a narrated guided tour of the breathtaking Christmas
Lights and the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival along Michigan Avenue.

ORCHID SHOW WITH MUSIC
(Ages 18+)
Slip into an oasis of serenity, beauty and vibrant color at the Chicago Botanic
Gardens. This perfect escape will showcase more than 10,000 unique and exotic
plants from around the world in a seven-room display area. The Orchid Show
is the largest show of its kind in the area. Don't miss the opportunity to take
photos of these fascinating, lush, colorful flowers. We will begin our day with
a morning concert followed by a hot Tropical Lunch Buffet. Then relax in the
tropical paradise of the Orchid Show. Bus departs Tennis Center Parking Lot at
8:00 am SHARP!
