TAI CHI CHUAN
(Ages 13+)
Through practice your mind can achieve a stillness and clarity rarely experienced with
other forms of exercise; integrating your body, mind and spirit and allowing you to
achieve inner peace. This class will help you develop a harmony with the world on a
physical, mental, emotional and ultimately, spiritual level. This calmness pervades your
whole body, leaving you less stressed and more refreshed at the end of the day. Practice
strengthens the immune system, improves posture, balance, coordination, flexibility
and strength, reduces blood pressure, stress, and releases tension allowing a feeling of
positive energy to flow through your body.

ADULT TENNIS
(Ages 15+)
Want to improve your tennis skills? Beginner/Intermediate lessons will cater to
beginning players who have never played before or intermediate players who have
limited experience and formal instruction. Players will brush up on basics with a focus on
strokes, overhead serve, and progressing to rally placement and consistency. Will include
both individual and group instruction. Adult Drills caters to individuals who know the
basics of tennis, and any player who wants to improve. This class will feature less step-by-
step instruction and more match-play and volleying. Players must supply own rackets.
Instructors may recommend switching class levels based on skill level.

ADULT SOFTBALL
(Ages 18+)
Gather a team of friends, co-workers, or family to join the adult softball leagues
for the summer. League play for the Park District's adult softball leagues begins
the week of May 1. Teams registering as resident status will need to provide
proof of residency (copy of driver's license) for all players. Please note: five
or more nonresidents constitutes a nonresident team. Games canceled due to
unplayable field conditions will be scheduled on Saturdays or alternate days
when needed or available.
