Learn to use the pottery wheel. Students will learn how to center, raise, open and pull
in order to create a variety of pieces with special glazing techniques to help bring
their creations to life. All skill levels welcomed. Space is limited.

TEEN POTTERY WHEEL
(Ages 13-18)

ADULT HAND BUILDING
(Ages 18+)
This introductory class will teach students how to hand-build with clay. Students will
learn pottery basics like coil, pinch pot, slab, and forming techniques will be taught.
Every participant will complete 4 glazed projects demonstrating their new ceramic
skills. Creativity is encouraged to personalize each piece! This class is for beginners
and those with some pottery experience.

ADULT HAND BUILDING-YARD ART
(Ages 18+)
Design and create colorful garden themed projects including decorative flowers
that can be placed on stakes in the garden and wall packets for flowers or a plant.
Students will add eye catching glaze and texture to make these nature themed
projects their own. No previous pottery experience required.

FINE ARTS
BEGINNER ADULT WHEEL

Learn to use the pottery wheel to create your own projects. Students will be
introduced to fundamentals of attaching, centering, throwing and trimming basic
forms. You will use your choice of glazes to finish your pieces. Space is limited, sign
up early.

CONTINUING ADULT WHEEL
(Ages 18+)
This wheel class is for those who have advanced past the beginners class and can
successfully attach/center 2-3 lb of clay independently. Students will be able to work
independently on the wheel with instructor guidance. Previous beginner class or
instructor consent required to join the class.

POTTERY OPEN STUDIO
(Ages 18+)
This is an open studio setting for individuals with previous pottery experience.
Instructor consent to join the class is required. Students will have an opportunity
to work independently on the wheel and hand building to create their own unique
pieces, complete with a variety of glazing techniques. Looking for extra studio time?
Sign up for the extended hour of class. Participants must be enrolled in the two-hour
class in order to register for the extra hour. Space is limited so sign up early.
