44 SPRING 2026 FINE ARTS CREATURE COMFORT (Ages 7-10) Using a combination of paint, sculpting, collage, drawing, sewing, and nature finds, participants will design and construct a dioramic house for a sculpted critter. Homes will be complete with home decor, furnishings, and all the comforts a critter could need! All participants need is a great imagination! Students will be introduced to fundamentals of attaching, centering, throwing, and trimming basic forms. You will use your choice of glazes to finish your pieces. Space is limited, sign up early. Each bird made will be unique and have its own personality. Learn to make the birds, include texture and then choose from a variety of glazes. All skill levels welcome! Have another idea in mind? Bring it with you, and we will work on it together! Some prior clay experience is helpful. Participants will use textures, embellishments and galze to bring a touch of whimsy to their artwork. Instructor: Trish Martin Location: Sunset Knoll Recreation Center Code Day Date Time R/NR Fee 105203-01 F 05/01 - 06/05 6:00 - 8:00 pm $150/$180 POTTERY OPEN STUDIO (Ages 18+) This is an open studio setting for individuals with previous pottery experience. Instructor consent to join the class is required. Students will have an opportunity to work independently on the wheel and handbuilding to create their own unique pieces. Class includes all supplies: clay, tools, glaze, and electric kiln firing. Looking for extra studio time? Sign up for the extended hour of class. Participants must be enrolled in the two hour class in order to register for the extra hour. Space is limited, sign up early.
