creativity and imagination as an artist, develop fine motor skills, style, and vision
as this class explores different artistic techniques through a variety of inspiring
projects. No previous experience necessary.

Youth pottery introduces children to different forms of hand-building with clay.

YOUTH POTTERY WHEEL

Learn to use the potter's wheel. Students will be introduced to fundamentals of
attaching, centering, throwing, and trimming. Students will have their choice of
glazes to finish their pieces. Space is limited, sign up early.

CONTINUING YOUTH POTTERY WHEEL - OPEN STUDIO
(Ages 12-17)
This class is for students who have advanced past the beginners class and
can successfully attach/center 2-3 lb of clay independently. Students will be
encouraged to build skills and explore new techniques. Both wheel and hand
building will be available. Previous beginner class or instructor consent required
to join the class.

CREATURE COMFORT

Using a combination of paint, sculpting, collage, drawing, sewing, and nature finds,
participants will design and construct a dioramic house for a sculpted critter. Homes
will be complete with home decor, furnishings, and all the comforts a critter could
need! All participants need is a great imagination!
