ADULT HAND BUILDING WORKSHOP: GNOME FOR
YOUR HOME
Create a whimsical, magical gnome full of personality in this relaxed pottery class
for adults. Using hand-building techniques and surface texture methods, you'll
shape a one-of-a-kind character with playful details. Whether your gnome is a
guardian, a wanderer, or a keeper of tiny secrets - it's up to you. No experience
needed. Your finished gnome will be perfect for your garden or nestled among
your indoor plants.

BROWN CLAY OPEN STUDIO
Brown Clay will be made available in studio for participants to handbuild or throw
projects. Open to previous open studio/continuing class members or instructor
consent. The expectation will be for students to spend the 3 weeks creating
projects, and then enroll in January/Winter session classes to glaze these pieces.

CONTINUING ADULT WHEEL
This wheel class is for those who have advanced past the beginners class and
can successfully attach/center 2-3 lb of clay. Students will work independently
on the wheel with instructor guidance. Previous beginner classes or instructor
consent required to join the class.

ADULT POTTERY WORKSHOP: WHIMSICAL SNOWMAN
In this three-week workshop, you'll create a joyful snowman sculpture dressed in a
sweater, scarf, hat, and mittens, with an emphasis on texture, whimsy, and personality.

BEGINNER ADULT HANDBUILDING
Adult hand-building introduces participants to clay through projects using
foundational pottery methods such as pinch, coil, slab and sculpture construction.
Students gain practical knowledge of the ceramic process - from forming to finishing
- while creating 3-4 original works. Creative expression is emphasized in every
project. Prior experience is also welcome!

Learn to use the potter's wheel. Students will be introduced to fundamentals of
attaching, centering, throwing, and trimming. Students will choose from a wide
variety of glazes to finish their pieces.

ADULT POTTERY OPEN STUDIO
This is an open studio setting for individuals with previous pottery experience.
Instructor consent to join the class is required. Participants work independently on
the wheel and/or hand-building to create their own unique pieces. Class includes
all supplies: clay, tools, glaze and cone 6 electric kiln firing.Looking for extra studio
time? Sign up for the extended hour of class. Participants must be enrolled in the
two hour class in order to register for the extra hour.
