Using advanced LEGO® Mindstorms systems and infrared technology, students will build amusement park rides and learn to program a ghost train, a bumper car, a merry-go-round, and a tour bus to move. Students will work in teams of two, learning and having fun using their imagination and creativity. No refunds after first class. Using a green screen and special photo-editing techniques, you will venture into real or imaginary locations and film the trip to share with friends. Experiment with photos and unique drawing software to set the scene for fantastic adventures. Don't stay at home, jump into a green screen and find yourself some fun! Students receive a copy of their creations after class ends! No refunds after class begins. This is your opportunity to not only learn sign language, but to communicate with it. This introductory course will teach basic signs and phrases like "good job" or "you're welcome." Join us as a certified deaf education instructor teaches how to communicate with someone who is deaf or hard-of-hearing. In Afterschool Amigos Spanish Club, children will learn numbers, colors, shapes, greetings, days of the week, and more. We will be singing, clapping, and counting our way towards learning the spanish language. Each child will receive a participation award. Refunds must be completed three business days before the start of class. Never skied or snowboarded before? No problem! Free ski and snowboard lessons for beginners will be running all day. When you're ready for a break from the cold, stop inside to hang out in the video game room and snack bar. All costs are included except snacks, so teens should bring money for food. Fees include lift, a complimentary lesson for all skill levels, and transportation. The group will meet and check in at Lombard Community Building. Register early because spaces are limited! Registration deadline is January 5. No refunds after registration deadline.
