Power Yoga doesn't stick to the same sequence of poses each time like Ashtanga does, so the style varies depending on the instructor. Isometric movements recruit every muscle in the body, which sparks metabolism and results in more calories burned. Yoga can be practiced by anyone and anywhere! This class will focus on standing postures and will be adjusted to each person's skill level. This is a great class to unload the stresses from day to day living. Come join us and melt your stress away with our ten-minute meditation done at the end of each class. Instructor is certified in 200 hours of Hatha Yoga. Participants must bring the following props: two yoga blocks, a yoga strap, a yoga mat and a small cushion (optional). We will be doing yoga seated and standing poses next to a chair to address movement and balance limitations. This class will focus on improving your range of motion, strength, and flexibility, concentration and coordination, balance, posture, alignment, and breathing. Join us and share the wisdom of Yoga.
