In 2014, it was reported that in Illinois 29.3% of adults are obese and 15.1% of children (stateofobesi- ty.org). The Lombard Park District continues to oƒer programming in health and wellness such as group fitness, nutrition, athletics, and a variety of healthy and wellness focused programs for children and adults. The District also promotes fitness by maintaining walking paths throughout our parks system. 6 Thursday, October 20 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm (Ages 0-6) Get ready for Halloween with the Monster Bash! Our Trick-or-Treat Food Drive is open for participation by local groups, organizations, and families. Each team will be assigned an area in Lombard to collect canned and boxed food to be donated to a local food pantry. This event will take place on Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
