Saturday, November 19 from 3:00 - 5:30 pm (Ages 5-Adult) Get ready for Thanksgiving with the 5th Annual Lombard Park District Turkey Shoot. This free-throw shooting contest and skills competition will get your family into the Thanksgiv- ing spirit! In addition to a free-throw shooting competition, a dribbling and passing skills competition will take place this year! You may participate in both events, but will need to register for each one separately. Prizes will be given out, including a turkey to the winner of each age division. Baskets and equipment will be tailored to the age level. For Free Throws and Skills Competition, Ages 5-7 and 8-10 will be taking place from 3:00 pm to 4:15 pm, and ages 11-14 and 15+ will begin at 4:30 pm. Participants are encouraged to bring a canned food item to donate to the Lombard Food Pantry and any proceeds from this event will be donated as well. Fee is assessed per competition. If you do, hop out of bed and all aboard the Polar Express Story Time Train! You can even wear your pajamas! On our journey to the North Pole we will read the Polar Express and each rider will receive a cookie and their very own bell to take home! Tickets will be mailed to participants if registered before December 1. Tickets will be available for pick up for children registering after December 1 if seats are available. Tickets are not transferable. Please make sure to allow extra time to park and check in. Check in will be located on the south side of the train tracks (right o… Parkside Ave). All children must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone attending the Polar Express must purchase a ticket. Due to the nature of Metra and unknown boarding location, early arrival to the train station for the Polar Express event does not guarantee specific spots on the train.
