page 22 youth athletics T-BALL TRAINING SPRING BREAK CAMP ICE SKATING (Ages 3 and up) Center Ice Skating School in Glen Ellyn offers a comprehensive system of ice skating instruction for all ages and ability levels. Participants registering through the Park District receive discounted lessons. For more information, call (630) 790-9696 ext.115. (Ages 4-6) Learn the basics of batting, base running, catching, and throwing from an experienced staff of sports lovers and teachers. In this fun and exciting camp, we will concentrate on the very fundamentals of game play. Remember to bring your glove to camp. Instructor: SportsKids Inc. Site: Pleasant Lane Gymnasium (entrance 6 off of Main St.) Code Day DateTimeR/NR Fee TOTS: Progressive levels 1–4 providing ages 3 and 4 with ice orientation, balance, agility, and fun. 401115-01 M, W, F PRE-ALPHA: This class is intended for ages 5-13 with no previous formal instruction. Participants will learn 1 & 2 foot glides, forward & backward Swizzles and the backward wiggle. (Ages 4-6) If your young child loves the world of sports, then do not miss this opportunity to expose your child to various sports. Participants will learn the fundamentals of basketball, baseball, kickball, soccer, floor hockey and many other sports and fun activities. Organized games emphasize sportsmanship, sharing and teamwork. All equipment will be tailor made to ensure success with every participant. (3 days) Instructor: SportsKids Inc. HOCKEY ALPHA 1: Participants ages 5-13 with no previous formal instruction will learn basic forward and backward skating while wearing hockey equipment. Hockey skates and hockey helmet are required.
