WALKING OUTDOORS
(Ages 15 +)
Life is movement; improving your habits of movement will contribute to your
quality of life. Being alive doesn't mean simply functioning biologically, it also
means being active. This is a group walk planned for all skill levels. Please bring
a water bottle and proper walking shoes. Dress for the weather, we will be inside
if weather is poor.

THE ESSENTIALS
(Ages 15 +)
A perfectly blended workout using body resistance and light weights to target
the entire body. Helps to strengthen the core, sculpt the glutes and thighs, and
tone the arms. Please bring a yoga mat and towel. If you are interested in two
classes a week for a full workout, this class would pair nicely with Thursday
evening's Barre Fit. Instructor is ACE Certified.

TAI CHI CHUAN

Through practice, your mind can achieve a stillness and clarity rarely experienced
with other forms of exercise; integrating your body, mind, and spirit and helping
you to achieve inner peace. Practice strengthens the immune system, reduces
blood pressure and stress, and releases tension allowing a feeling of positive
energy to flow through your body. (7 weeks)

BOOT CAMP

Push yourself to achieve your goals. This class will combine cardiovascular,
endurance, and strength training using dumbbells, barbells, tubes, and body
weight exercises. You will get a total body workout and will feel more energized.

AFTERNOON WALK IN THE PARK
(Ages 15 +)
We will visit several beautiful Lombard parks. You will have the option to
walk, Nordic walk (with poles provided by the instructor), or add a set of light
dumbbells and exercises while you walk. Stick with one or switch it up each week.
There will be a 5-minute warm-up and a 5-minute cool down with stretches. A
list of parks and dates will be given at Madison Meadow Park on the first day. The
instructor is an ACSM certified personal trainer.

SRS/STRENGTH, RESISTANCE, STRETCH
(Ages 15 +)
Keep the muscle tone and strength of your youth! Stay healthy and strong with
the use of weighted body bars, dumbbells, and tubes. The program design will
switch from strength to endurance or from endurance to integrated functional
movement patterns periodically (periodization training), which will help you
avoid training plateaus. This class is for all fitness levels.
