Survey Indications
Walking and biking trails ranked as the
most needed recreation amenity for the
Lombard Park District. This was followed by
gardens, natural areas / nature parks, and
playgrounds. Walking and biking trails could
be implemented in existing parks, or this
could be a joint venture with the Village to
expand on the planned trail network and
connect the various parks to each other and
to other Village destinations.
The top fi ve programs Lombard Park District
residents have a need for are adult fi tness
and wellness programs, community special
events, youth sports programs, outdoor
nature programs, and culinary programs.
Programs that are not a priority for the
District are programs for people with
disabilities, coaching partnerships, and
before/after school programs
