AMIGOS SPANISH CLUB
(Ages 5-10)
Learning Spanish is as easy as uno, dos, tres! In Afterschool Amigos Spanish Club,
children will learn numbers, colors, shapes, greetings, days of the week and more.
Students will be singing, clapping and counting their way towards learning the
Spanish Language. Each child will receive a participation award.

MARVELOUS MAGIC
(Ages 5-12)
Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of
fascinating and mesmerizing tricks. Amaze family and friends with tricks that
involve cards, ropes, coins, mindreading and more. While the tricks may appear
difficult, you'll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All
materials are provided; each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are
grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age appropriate. New tricks are
taught each session.

CHESS SCHOLARS
(Ages 5-12)
Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research
has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety
of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to
enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills and creativity.
Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice
time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the
guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

SCHOOL DAY OFF

Join the Lombard Park District on days when school isn't in session! Participants will
enjoy games, crafts and activities with friends. Whether you are part of our Club Rec
program, or just want to spend time making new friends, this program welcomes
everyone! Please note: Each child should bring a sack lunch and drink. Club Rec
participants, check out your special discount on our school day off programs!

TEEN SCHOOL DAY OFF
(Ages 11-15)
Spend a day of spring break with a full day of Teen only fun! Teens will start at
Sunset Knoll Recreation Center and then head out for a morning hike at a nearby
local Forest Preserve. After that is lunch in Downtown Lombard. Then teens
will wrap up their afternoon with volunteering at Feed My Starving Children in
Schaumburg. Additional activities, games and crafts will fill in the gaps throughout
the day. Fee includes all transportation and lunch. Drop-off and pick-up are at
Sunset Knoll Recreation Center.

BABYSITTING TRAINING
(Ages 11+)
Learn about all the responsibilities of being a good babysitter and what to expect
from the person who hires you. Training will be provided in safety, safe play, basic
care, first aid, leadership and professionalism. Class includes a digital copy of the
handbook, review materials and a certification card. Please bring a lunch and snacks.

FIRST AID & CPR
(Ages 12+)
Learn to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac and breathing
emergencies, and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, scrapes,
sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, head and cold. The online portion of class
must be completed before class and serves as a two-year certification. The course
fee includes online access to a digital version of the manual and a refresher course.
