YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS (Ages 4-13) Grab your rackets and get active with our Instructional Tennis Lessons program! Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructors will teach your child tennis basics, and help the more experienced player further their tennis skills. Players must supply their own rackets. Tennis balls are supplied. Classes may be adjusted, canceled, or combined. Instructors may move participants to a different level if necessary. Up to 3 classes cancelled due to weather will be made up on Mondays or Fridays during the session. In case of inclement weather, please call the Sports Hotline (630) 415-3479 after 4:00 pm. LEVELS: PEE-WEE (AGES 4-5): Children will be introduced to tennis with equipment suitable to their size. BEGINNER (AGES 6-8): The class emphasizes ball control and basic strokes, regardless of previous experience. ADVANCED BEGINNER (AGES 9-13): Children review basic skills and focus on footwork and the overhead serve. Upon registering (minimum of 3 one-hour sessions), you will be contacted by an instructor to set up your lesson times. Please ask for a Private Lesson Request Form at SKRC to help expedite this process. Private Lessons must be pre-paid at least 5 days prior to scheduling a lesson. Private Lessons (One-on-One): $30 per hour Pair Lessons (Two-on-One): $40/pair per hour Instructor: Tennis Staff Location: Lombard Common Tennis Courts GIRLS SOFTBALL (Ages 5-18) Lombard Park District offers an extensive youth softball program including instruction for all ages and skill levels. The primary goal is to create an opportunity for fundamental skills development in a positive, supportive, friendly, safe and most importantly, fun environment for every player in each league. The level is decided by current grade level. Coaches will determine all practice times. The Park District reserves the right to combine age levels if necessary. Girls signing up for pitching clinics are recommended to sign up for multiple sessions and must supply a catcher.
