Youth Athletics
BASEBALL HITTING & PITCHING CLINICS
(Ages 6-12)
Want to get ready for baseball season? Hone your skills over the winter using
the Glenbard East field house. Learn the fundamentals of hitting and pitching
taught by Glenbard East head baseball coach Joel Pelland and his varsity players!
The hitting portion will utilize the Glenbard East batting cages and emphasize
improving mechanics through batting practice, tee-work, and mini-games. The
pitching portion will emphasize proper throwing mechanics through repetition
and mini-games. Be ahead of the curve this year!

VOLLEYBALL SKILLS & DRILLS
(Ages 8-14)
Improve your volleyball skills in setting, passing, overhand serving and spiking.
The program includes an evaluation of each student, as well as a youth volleyball
rating. Organized games will be held at the end of each class. Grade levels may
be combined based on enrollment numbers.

District for these skills clinics. Learn proper techniques, drills, and skills needed to
play softball at a higher level. Bring your softball glove, bat, comfortable clothes,
and a positive attitude.

GIRLS SOFTBALL
(Age 5-High School)
The Lombard Park District and the Glen Ellyn Girls' Softball Association are
teaming up again to offer an extensive youth softball program including
instruction for all ages and skill levels. The primary goal is to create an opportunity
for fundamental skills development in a positive, supportive, friendly, safe and
most importantly, fun environment for every player in each league. Coaches will
determine all practice times. The Park District reserves the right to combine age
levels if necessary.
