/lombardparks Group Fitness 54 FITNESS 55+ (Ages 55 +) Participants of all levels will increase strength, range of motion, balance, and mind agility through the use of simple dance moves to music, use of light dumb bells, resistance bands, and balls. This class is a fun way to stay healthy and fit. Please bring a mat to class each week. In this six week program you will learn which ingredients in food can affect behavior, sleep, concentration, and energy levels. During the class you will be exposed to six lessons relating to the foods best for your child. These lessons will be Traffic Light Eating, Portion Control, Breakfast and Grains, Veggies and Fruits, The Skinny on Fat, and Power Up with Protein and Play. You will also learn to keep your child active. EXPECTATIONS (Ages 18 +) Good health for motther and baby begins before conception and after delivery. L.E.A.N Expectations interactive workshops are educational and provide the opportunity for pregnant and post-partum women to connect with others while learning practical ways to positively impact the health of both mother and baby before, during, and after pregnancy. These educational workshops provide science-based information on the four pillars of health: Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, and Nutrion (L.E.A.N). Each workshop topic include a work book. PREPARE RIGHT NOW:Turning pregnancy into a healthy new beginning with stages of pregnancy, healthy lifestyle choices, and safe and effective exercise. EAT RIGHT NOW:Experiencing optimal nutrition during pregnancy and beyond. Learn about nutrition during pregnancy, choosing quality food, and healthy weight gain.LIVE RIGHT NOW:Learn about making a smooth transition from pregnancy to motherhood with postpartum nutrition and exercise, nutrition while breastfeeding, and new mom care. Learn how your body changes over time, how to reduce the risk of cancer, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and prevent disease and unhealthy aging. Learn to boost energy, reduce stress, sleep better and sharpen your thinking. The four weekly topics are; Open Your Internal Pharmacy, Make Health Your Hobby, Move Waste from Your Waist, and Live Without Pain and Inflammation. Improve your skin or digestion and learn how the benefits go well beyond a pleasant smell. Plus, get some great tips and ideas on how to use oils at work and for kids going back to school. You will also learn how and actually make your own hand sanitizer with essential oils.
